I sent my mom in law paperwork sometime in Nov. 2019, she got her finger print taken in Dec. 2019. Now we just wait.

 How long did it take for you to get I-797 receipt from the date you mailed the application?

@Garygg thx. I was asking and seems like my situation is similar to yours. I'm glad it worked out for you.

 

@jayp_2020 it only took us a week to get the I-797 receipts. However, we haven't received the bio metric appointments yet after 2 months. I believe your case processing time depends on how busy the USCIS office which handles your case is.
