We will be transferring to another place this week. We have a current Adjustment of Status application for K-1 visa process as of this time. I have asked USPS if ever I will request change of address, I am worried they will notify the USCIS about this, it might screw up or delay the whole process.

The address that we put in the application is the address of my husband's parents. I am quite hesitant because we might not receive all the mails from USCIS.

Anybody familiar or did the same thing? Should I just request the USPS only and not the USCIS? It takes 45 days for the USCIS.

Any suggestions pls. :)

two things, the post office wont inform USCIS, nor will take responsibility for lost mail, they also wont forward mail from USCIS, they will return it to it to USCIS, and they wont use the change of address label on the returned mail to update your record, nor send it back out to the new address.

IF YOU ALREADY SENT THE AOS PACKAGE YOU NEED TO CALL USCIS AND UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS, AND NEED TO CALL THEM A FEW TIMES TO CONFIRM THE CHANGE.

This is one of the most posted subjects, on VJ.

If you have not sent in AOS package, you may want to use an address like a parent or sibling to receive this mail.
