Overstayed ESTA and CR-1

Hey everyone,

 

My fiancé (USC) and I are looking into filing a CR-1 visa after marrying in my home country. Our issue is (and the reason we are marrying in the UK) is that I recently overstayed my ESTA by 3 days after missing my flight.

 

Is this going to affect our application? I searched the forums and found an identical situation but the OP was going through the K-1 process and the replies were positive in that it wouldn’t have an impact on it. Would it be better for us to file a K-1 instead and do it that way?

It won’t have an impact on either visa type. Go with the one that suits you best.
