I was going through my paperwork just cuz lol and noticed we never got an I 797 when my wife's green card was approved. We were just sent the green card on that paper that says approved on the back with info about ROC and all that. We did have a unique situation where my wife's approval was in limbo for 3 months because they lost her packet upon entry into the country. Is this common to not get the I797 will I need it at some point during the process?
