Hi all,

I am fairly new to the site and I am trying to figure out a few details.

I am from the Dominican Republic, I have submitted all my paperwork and NVC already approved everything and the NVC "with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in SANTO DOMINGO, DOMR to schedule an interview appointment for me". I wonder if this is what is called the NOA2 and how long does the scheduling takes (time to receive notification of when the date will be set and notified to me) and an average of when you guys think will be the interview?

Also I would like to know what are things that they ask in the interview that are not very clear from the list? I have found the following link but not even sure if this applies to my type of petition (son of resident -actually citizen but opted out- older than 21 not married F2B)

https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Dominican%20Republic&cty=Santo%20Domingo

I want to update my timelines to help other people, I have seen that many people have Packet 3 and Packet 4 and all the other details that I am not sure what they mean. Any guidance will help.

Thanks so much in advance!

Hello Luife, the NOA2 is the notification that your case has been approved by USCIS, the scheduling of the appointment in the embassy can take up to three months, it is recommended that you keep calling the NVC to verify. What is your priority date?
