New Medical Exam Valid for two years

Hi All,

My AOS package was filed in August, Marriage base. I was in F1 visa before marriage. The field office is Providence, RI.

My initial package did not include medical exam result. My lawyer suggested to schedule it after receiving interview notice to avoid potential expiration before interview.

My questions are:

How will new policy affect package before Nov? If I get my medical exam done this month, and wait until the interview, does it valid for one year or two years?

I prefer to have it done earlier. My thoughts are:

Cons:

- I have read from forum that someone was detected issues during the exam and need to receive treatment before it is ready to be submitted, which could be very close to interview time.

- My field office process time is 10-23.5 month, so if it is valid for two years, the report should be valid till interview.

Pros

- I could not come with any pros beside potential update of I-693 form and they may reject the result cause it is not updated form.Unsure if it is a valid concern.

I appreciate any thoughts/suggestions. If you can also share your medical exam plan, that would be great!

Thank you!
