Traveling through Germany Airport with Expired GC + Extension Letter (Transit Visa)

My wife and I will be traveling to India through Germany on Lufthansa. She has a valid 10-year USA visa (Indian passport) from a previous visit, as well as the expired Green Card+ 18-month extension letter. We will bring all of these items with us during our travel. I am a US citizen and will be traveling with her. Our itinerary is:

1. USA -> Munich -> New Delhi

2. New Delhi -> Frankfurt -> USA

According to https://www.germany.info/blob/917514/80e28ec8a47bb057c06ca4023b155842/airport-transit-country-list-data.pdf an Indian citizen needs a transit visa, but there are some exceptions e.g. if you have a valid US Visa or Green Card.

Will there be any issues transiting through the German airports during our travel? It seems both the 10-year USA visa (which I suspect is still valid to present to authorities) or the expired Green Card + 18-month extension letter will be sufficient to pass through without any issues - so I think it should be okay.

Has anyone transited through Germany using an expired Green Card and extension letter and encountered any issues? Was curious to hear about any real life experiences.

Thanks in advance for your help.
