AOS experience for same-sex couple - what to expect

We are a same-sex (gay) couple and we have been married for over a year (together for over five years). One is a US Citizen, the other is an F-1 student. We have submitted all AOS paperwork by ourselves to The National Benefits Center with the receipt date of May 14, 2019. We are currently waiting for I-765 and I-131.

One of us, the US Citizen, obtained his green card and later citizenship, thru a prior heterosexual marriage with a US citizen (marriage over 16 years ago, US citizenship since 2009).

Should we expect addition scrutiny of our application by USCIS? Can anyone else with a similar experience share theirs? I am particularly interested in hearing about AOS adjustment interview experiences, questions asked, recommendations/advice, and key learnings. Thank you.
