F4 - One person in family on Administrative Processing

My sister and her family was interviewed on April 4th 2017.  CO in Islamabad Pakistan told them every thing was OK and they should receive their Visa in couple of weeks.  They were not handed any paper or questionnaire.  A week later they send an email questioning my sister's husband, his business, and his family details.  We answered all the questions through email as instructed.  Since that time his status is showing "Administrative Processing" while the rest of the family status is "READY".

Last month we requested Islamabad Embassy to issue Visa to family members (my sister and her kids) while husband can join once the AP is over for him.  Embassy gave a generic response and the status of all family members remains the same.  It is been 6 months and 12 days since the interview.

Although this topic has been extensively discussed in this forum but I am wondering if there are other families in the same boat.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and experience on this topic.

Mutahir, can you confirm you are contacting the Islamabad embassy through the online inquiry form? https://pk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-inquiries/
I have tried contacting them, but it has been a month, and I have not heard any reply, not even a generic one.

Yes, I contacted Islamabad Embassy using the link you posted.  But, you have to attention to a rule mentioned in the inquiry site.

If your question can be found in the Q&A on previous page, you will not receive a response to this query.

I read somewhere that if you case has been updated within the last 60 days, you will not get any response.  So, I sent inquiries 2 times by making sure the case wasn't updated within 60 days.  Both times I received a generic message within 5 days.  And the timesstamp of the case was updated accordingly.

Hang in there.  It is tiring to wait without any feed back from the embassy!
