Varies. The whole  process can take hours.. the actual interview.. for IR5 , in my experience, is a few minutes... not much to ask when it is a parent / adult child petition, unlike spouse petitions where the relationship will be discussed / questioned.

I mean the waiting time to schedule the interview after receiving the e-mail

NVC schedules appointments towards the end of each month to fill the appt vacancies that the Consulate has open . Waiting time to get an interview depends on the specific consulate. The CC to interview worksheets on the vj site can provide some useful historical data if you search by your consulate and visa category

 NVC scheduled my dad interview  (US Embassy manila ) 3 days after i received a confirmation his case is complete.
