I got rejected to do fingerprint on my appointment day

Hi everyone,

I originally have a biometric appointment on the 1st February. I showed up with a small burnt on my finger. They said they can't let me do fingerprint. They took my appointment and said they would reschedule another appointment for me and I would see a letter within 5 days. However, it has been more than 5 days and I haven't seen any mail from them. Have you guys ever had any experience with getting rejected to do fingerprint when you show up at the appointment? How am I sure that they will remember to reschedule it ? I have an online account and the account hasn't updated anything either. Will rescheduling biometric appointment be updated online? (the original appointment has never come to our address, I knew about my appointment by checking the online account and printed the online appointment document. I'm afraid if they don't update online, I'll never know if they ever reschedule me ) Also, can I just do a walk-in with a copy of my old appointment instead of waiting for rescheduling, since my finger is healed?

ive seen It happen before... don't wait to receive a new one.. as soon as your finger has healed do a walk in ASAP... you don't want to get a letter saying your case is denied due to abandonment...sometimes they forget to re schedule.

I'm wondering if USCIS Offices in CA take walk-in? I tried to do an early walk-in but they told me to come back on the right day. Then I came back on the right day and that happened (my finger was burnt ). Do they only take walk-in after the original appointment date has passed but not before that? After getting rejected for the early walk-in, I doubt that they'll let me in now-13 days after from the original date.

I personally had no travel doing walk ins during my time with USCIS.. I don't think they would give you a hard time now since YOU DID go to your scheduled one but was rejected.... If the office is close to you...it wouldn't hurt trying?
