Hi.

I arrived in the US in October on a K1 visa and have now been happily married for a couple of weeks thanks to a lot of assistance found here. Now that I'm working on filing my I-485 and associated documents I've run across a question regarding a change of address.

Situation: My wife had been living with her aunt for some time before moving to a new address in the same state. When I filed for my K1 etc I listed her aunt's address since that's where I was moving and that has been the case since then. My wife and her aunt live close enough that I haven't physically moved address yet but I want to do so before filing the I-485. I just wanted to get some advice on making sure I do that properly.

As far as I can gather I should move this week and file the online change of address forms appropriately then use the new address as my current address on the I-485, her aunt's as the previous address and my various UK addresses so on and so forth.

The other option seems to be waiting until I file the I-485 until I go ahead and move but that just seems to introduce a lot of needless hassle.

Any advice is appreciated and apologies if I missed a post that answers this exact question.
