AOS Interview Appointment

Hi,

USCIS had received our AOS packet on 6/30/17. We never received a receipt and when I called into USCIS to ask about it, the rep said that the letter was not important and if I did want a copy, I would need to make an appointment to go to the office to get a copy.

 

As of 8/22/17, this is the status of the case:

"As of August 22, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC**********, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

 

As of today 10/5/17, we have not received any letter with the interview appointment date and the status online remains the same.

 

What should I do? Is this normal?

It can take a while for the USCIS to schedule an interview. We waited around 5 months before our interview was scheduled

It does :/ but once it's over, you'll be done for a couple years!
