Waiting for Interview Notification

Hi, I'm a US citizen. We received a letter from NVC to confirm they have received our Affidavit of Support and all backup docs. The letter was dated June 28, 2017. We called NVC a couple of times regarding the interview notice that we still have not received, they weren't any help. Now it's late Sept and my husband is still waiting for an interview at the Hong Kong US Embassy. I thought the waiting period from NVC receiving all the docs to interview date is around 11 weeks. We have a toddler and I'm back in the States with her while he waits for an interview date. What should I do to chase up on an interview date? Our daughter is missing her dad. Any advice is much appreciated.
