The Canadian city of Quebec stands at the ready to help out Texas and the victims of Hurricane Harvey, be it beds, blankets, heavy machinery or prayers.

The latter is all that Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos asked for,CBC News is reporting.

Quebec Minister of International Relations Christine St-Pierre told CBC that she spoke with Pablos on Tuesday with an offer to help in pretty much any way she could.

"It was a conversation about how devastating the situation is and we want to express our support to the people of Texas," St-Pierre told CBC News.

Pablos declined the aid for now, instead asking for "prayers from the people of Quebec. He was very touched by the fact we called him," St-Pierre told CBC.
