I am a Filipino citizen living in okinawa,Japan and my husband is in the military. my husband is about to file the I-130 petition at the US embassy in naha, Japan.

the thing is I was divorced before and I got divorced in Japan.

my question is will the USCIS ask me to show a recognition of divorce from the Philippines even though I don't have a record in the Philippines that I was married before ? or will my divorce papers from Japan will be ok ?  please help. thank you

Hello,

Your Japan's divorce paper will be acceptable, You must have to submit a notarized copy of it along with documents.
