Russia seizes 2 US properties and orders embassy to cut staff

MOSCOW — Russia seized two American diplomatic properties on Friday and ordered the United States Embassy in Moscow to reduce its staff by September, in the Kremlin’s first retaliatory steps against proposed new American sanctions.

The moves, which Russia had been threatening for weeks, came a day after the United States Senate approved a measureexpanding economic sanctions against Russia, as well as against Iran and North Korea. The bill, mirroring one passed by the House on Tuesday, now goes to President Trump for his signature.

Russian Embassy in UK also trolled McCain asking "do you think sanctions will solve problems with the US?"

 

Well the properties look dismal, so no doubt US staff will gladly leave.

8.35 am. Russian embassy in USA.

total number of American diplomats and consular office employees in Russia must be reduced to 455 people.

You must be kidding. Don't you see this is a major win for America? We will save on all the salaries we won't have to pay for the staff that will be laid off. For them it's an opportunity to come back home, and get a better job. Trump is creating jobs that will need to be filled. We need as many people in America as we can get to fill all these positions that will become vacant in a matter of days.
