I just got it too. September 8

Hello,

I submitted the DS-260 on June 19, 2017 and the Financial/Civil documents were received on June 28, 2017. I'm still waiting on the interview. Do you have an idea as to how long it takes to get a Case Complete status and then finally an interview date with the US Embassy in Islamabad?

Thanks

Hello,

You should allow 11 weeks from the date NVC received your documents for you to get case complete status. However, I recommend calling them every week or so after 8 weeks and simply request an update on your case.

As for an  interview date. I got my interview date 2 weeks after my case complete status, but that was a rather quick turnaround. Normally you get an interview date one month after NVC case complete status.

I called the NVC and they reviewed my application yesterday. It turns out my attorney forgot to submit a copy of the Beneficiary's passport. He submitted that today via FedEx (overnight shipping). Would it again take up to 11 weeks or do you think this time around it's going to be quick?

Thank you once again.

Unfortunately it will take 11 weeks for the NVC to update your file. In my case it took them 9 weeks

ok thanks. It took them about 5 weeks to review my case. I guess 11 weeks is the max.

The thing is that all these guidelines are simply just that. As you may know, anything can change at any time.

For example, when I had to send in  my corrected paperwork, it was understood that it would take 8 weeks as that is what the NVC was quoting & what fellow VJ'rs were experiencing. But when I called the NVC, they told me 11 weeks. I posted this info here on VJ and it turned out that is they what they were now quoting others as well.

In other words, the time frame is always flexible. Amd I truly hope things go in your favor and that contrary to what the NVC is quoting, all your paperwork is processed as quickly as possible m

It certainly happened to me amd I hope the same for you :)

Congrats!! Quick question though. Did you get the interview letter (date) after receiving the CASE COMPLETE email? If yes, then how many weeks after the case complete status email? Thanks and I wish you all the best!!!

Case complete means the NVC is all done with the processing and is now waiting to get interview dates form the nvc

The NVC receives appointment dates once every month.

I received the interview date 2 weeks after case complete.

My status changed to CASE COMPLETE today. Between 10am-11am I checked my status on CEAC and it changed to "AT NVC." I called the NVC to confirm and they provided confirmation that  it's now complete....now waiting for the interview:):jest:
