hello Guys.. just had some questions. can somebody help ...

so my situation is:

i am working abroad and not in my home country which we put to have my interview(beneficiary here) .. my worries are, i still have 9months to finish my contract here. So if ever i will have the  noa2, and its 4months validity.. will it be ok for me to pay just the vIsa fee, since it has a 1year Validity..and then continue the next step like medical, and interview after my contract will end??

I hope somebody can understand my ranting... thankYou so Much...

yes, that's ok, as long as your interview still falls within the 4 months validity period. but note that you need a police clearance from your work country for the interview, and that has to be valid by the time your interview date comes around so make sure you inquire about that beforehand and make arrangements on how you can get it closer to your interview date (if you have already ended your contract and left your work country by then).

The K1 visa, once approved, has a 6-month validity.  Maybe try to get an interview before the NOA2 ends, then when you get approved, you have 6 more months before you leave for the US.

Or ask the consulate first if they will allow you to extend the NOA2 validity. :)

probably not.  but you can always ask someone to deposit it for you.  have someone print the receipt which is found online and let someone go to the bank to pay for it.  it doesn't need your signature. but do keep the receipt and know the receipt number.  it's necessary when you  make the appointment for your interview.

or better yet, catch cebu pacific promo flights so you can come home for a few days and you can do it yourself. :)

I'm not sure what you mean by ok, but the only thing you have to watch out for is the expiration date of your NOA2. As such, you need to have your interview before it expires.  Like I said, it can be extended by the consul themselves, but it also depends IF they will allow you.  So it's safer to have your interview before expiration.  When your contract ends, it might be too late to do the next steps since your NOA2 has already expired 5 months ago.  What you want is when your contract ends, you have your visa already and you only need to fly to the US and get married.

Considering your timeline, let's say you get your NOA2 this week and your MCN by first week of Aug, you have until November to set your interview appointment. Do note that when you schedule your interview, you might not get a schedule that you have in mind.  Because when I did mine, the earliest available interview date was 2 weeks from that day.  Also, you will need your police clearance in that country, and the NBI clearance here in the PH which you have to schedule first before being able to get one.  Spare 2 weeks for that too.

What I suggest is when you come home in October, go to medical, get your NBI (should schedule it while you're there), make sure you have your BC and CENOMAR, and go to the interview (set your interview appointment beforehand).

So good luck. :)  Just post if you need help with the scheduling. :):)

Just thought about it, but I guess the answer is NO.  You can't just pay the visa fee and think that it's ok to have an interview before the MRV validity ends.  The validity of NOA2 does not rely on the visa payment, it relies on the expiration date on your NOA2.  Therefore, you need to go to the USEM for interview on our before the validity of the NOA2 ends.

It's the first time I read that there's an automatic extension of the NOA2.  Best to check with the USEM rather than be unsure about it.
