I think I might have an elis number from when I applied for my last visa (O1) with my lawyer, but now I am filing my green card application cause i got married. How can I find out my number? My lawyer is not being very helpful and is saying that my elis number is the same as my A-number but the numbers don't add up. Can I leave this blank everywhere in my application, if I genuinely don't know the number?

ELIS number is not same as the A number. Usually USCIS sends you NOA for ELIS account. If you received the letter when you got your O1 visa then you have the ELIS number. You can call USCIS validate it if you talk with T2 officer. Also you can just leave it blank that is fine.

Sounds like you are doing this by yourself so fire your lawyer if you still have it.
