In brief my wife was given a 221 (g) after her interview on 21 Mar 2017 We responded immediately with the requested documents. On 9 April we received yet another 221 (g) asking for completely different documents. We responded with the requested documents via 2go  and they were received  according to the Embassy on 1 June 2017. All papers were included except my wife's birth certificate that was dispatched direct to the Embassy on 31 May 2017 via E- Census. The CEAC showed our case was last updated 2 Jun 2017. I immediately contacted the Embassy to ensure that my wife's birth certificate had been added to the correct file. No response from the email of the IV Unit so on .9 June I contacted the customer service desk who escalated the case and informed me that my wife would get a status update within 1-2 business days. Still nothing and CEAC shows zero movement since 2 June. I have recalled the customer service desk in Manila several times and sent two additional Emails. Time is ticking away as my wife has a medical that expires after 6 months in early August. Any ideas on how to ensure that all our documents have made it to one file and are in line for review? I am worried that the birth certificate of my wife that was dispatched directly to the Embassy did not make it into the correct file. Should we order another one? I am confused 1. How to proceed and 2. Why Manila IV is not responding to my emails. I sent them other emails not related to this issue and they have always responded quickly. I wonder if Ramadan could be slowing things down as I know there is a small but significant Muslim population in the Philippines and I have thought they could be short staffed. I am not a Muslim but have been told that many Muslims have short work days during Ramadan fasting If so, when does the Muslim holiday end? Thanks so much and may God Bless Us All
