Canadian travelling back to Canada with EAD/AP

I recently received notification that my EAD/AP has been approved and is currently being mailed (should get here in the next few days). I want to book a trip home to Canada in May. I have changed my last name to my husband's here in the U.S but my Canadian passport still has my maiden name (as well as all other Canadian things). Should this be an issue? I am wondering what name I should book my flights under? Would I use my maiden name for travel since that is what is on my Canadian passport for plane tickets to and from Canada? I am thinking of getting a new passport with my new last name but won't have it in time for travel.  Should this be a problem leaving the U.S/entering. I will be travelling by plane and don't want to run into any issues. Has anyone traveled on AP lately?

I travel under the name of my passport.  I have changed my name in America after we got married and still travel under my maiden name in my passport (2 years later...I decided to wait until my passport expires next year before I change anything...)

I always brought my marriage license/visa paperwork along on all international flights in case something ever came up...

Thanks so much for the reply. So it's okay to book flights back to the US with my maiden name as well? As long as I have my marriage cert.? Have you ran into any issues at all?

I've had no issues.   I've made a few international flights as well as 10-15 domestic flights in the past 2 years all under my maiden name and it hasn't been an issue once.

I'm from AB :)

Adjusting was pretty easy for me because I lived in California for 3 years prior under a student visa.  So in a way it felt like "moving back" :)

I was born for the sunshine :) I don't miss the cold winters AT ALL :) haha.

I love AB, I have family that have lived there for 15 years! I am from NL. I also do not miss the winters or all the snow!!! We actually got married in California :) We are in Ohio for my husbands work... not by choice lol. It's been hard adjusting but it's slowly getting better especially since I just got my AED/AP.

Did you bother changing your last name in Canada? I am thinking I may wait until my passport expires next year to get a new one with the new last name.

That's awesome!! :)

TBH I haven't done anything to change my name in Canada.  I filed that I was married in my taxes but it seemed a little complicated when I initially tried to look into changing my name outside of the country. So I've set it aside while focusing on visa paperwork here.  I've put it on the "to do list" for next year though.
