Background Info:

My wife is principal immigrant.

I have a sponsor,  my mom and with that separate I-864 income information I will be far above the AOS poverty guidelines for household of 3. ( my wife, mom and dad).

For my household of 2 ( me and my wife) and my I-864 I am submitting.

1. My foreign income will not be continuing.

2. I have x amount of $ on my 2016 income tax which is 100% foreign earned income.

3. I also filled out a Foreign Income Tax Exemption, that I qualified for.

So, if I am submitting my tax record and it says I made x amount of $ in 2016.

Do I still put this amount of income on my I-864? even though:

  • its not enough, so I need a sponsor.
  • It's not accepted since its foreign income that will not continue.

Should I just put "0". for annual income?

I been an expat for 5 years, all of my past income is the same issue.

Should I even bother, submitting my assets for consideration?

When my mom as sponsor covers the I-864P guidelines by allot. ( easily x5).

Easiest way to solve the problem is to have your mother be joint sponsor and complete the I864 with a household number of 3

Noted, with a household number of 3:

Is it safe to assume that I would need to submit a I-864A for my dad, if they submitted their taxes as married, filing jointly?
