Re discrepancy on his birth certificate and Passport

Hi guys!  Please help me with my problem.  I'm about to file a K1 Visa application but it's only now that we've realized that my fiancé 's birth certificate and passport has a discrepancy.  The suffix III on his Philippine passport is after his first name and the said suffix is placed after his middle name on his birth certificate.  I hope someone can give as advise with this ASAP.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link.  Is  Affidavit not enough? Because I believe it takes time for you to secure an updated/corrected birth certificate.

I think that no affidavit can help you. You really need to go to the municipal hall on the place of birth and correct it from there and after they correct it you can ask them for a waiver that you can bring the corrected paper on PSA and direct file it in your end so it will be more faster.

An affidavit is not enough. That would even take longer. Follow the steps in the link. Have your fiancee go to the local registry with all the documents needed and petition to change it. The Birth Certificate correction process is no longer that hassle as like before where you need a lawyer and go through judge approval.
