Global Entry with F1 OPT

My better half is a Singapore citizen in the US on her OPT portion of F1 visa. She finished her MBA last year and is now working using the 1 year OPT. Because we've heard all sorts of horror stories regarding OPT and travel out of the US, I though to get her to apply for Global Entry since now Singapore citizens are eligible. We have an upcoming trip and she's worried about being let back in the US.

Her thinking is that without Global Entry there is a chance she will get thoroughly checked by CBP and/or sent to secondary. With Global Entry that risk at POE is minimized but she has to incur the same check at the Global Entry interview. Because I have Global Entry myself, I know from my experience my interview was absolutely painless but that might not be the case for her.

Thoughts? Any experiences that anyone may have?
