David made several visits to the US and all but one visit went through Dublin. He was questioned once on the way here, but it wasn't for too long and was let through.

He did encounter a belligerent woman when he was returning home once, though, that insisted his bags be searched after the Pepsi he brought back with him "seemed heavier than it was supposed to be". She asked him what was in it, where it came from, etc. She was a right nasty thing and ended up opening the can up and pouring out the Pepsi to be sure David wasn't lying and smuggling drugs.

All in all, you just have to be mindful of how many visits to the US, and how long you are visiting...once it appears you're spending more, or too much, time in the US they get suspicious, which is their job after all, I guess!
