Waiting for Embassy? Or missing a step?

I'm sure this is redundant in other threads, but I have found and experienced a lot of those here.

So my fiance and I are at the step where it's been received by the consulate and has been there for 6 weeks. She has collected all her documentation on a checklist that I'd found. I promised to visit when she has her interview with the embassy, but haven't seen her in person since last March, making it now 7 months, so we're both anxious.

I know there's a medical physical prior to the interview, but I feel like we're missing a step where she needs to set the date but have no information to confirm that, simply a feeling. Is there some appointment that she needs to make? Or is it simply waiting?

The country portal here says 2-4 months to process, but I'm not sure what that date measures from, receiving to interview, or receiving to knowing the appointment. I wish I knew when her interview was, even knowing that would make things easier, since then I could start planning for an itinerary,

The NOA2 says something about being good until December 16 of this year, so I presume that approval would be before that, but I keep finding myself more and more ignorant of everything

Hey dcs5743,

The process at the embassy takes about 2 to 4 month depending on how busy the embassy is, you can check on the embassy's web page it usually states it on there. You are now waiting on the appointment letter/ packet 3, your fiancée can't do her physical without the appointment letter they usually ask to see the appointment letter at the clinic/Doctor office where the physical exam is done.

the approval notice you received (NOA2) expires on Dec 16.. If you don't end up getting the appt before that time the embassy will extend the time so no worries. I hope that helps, it is a frustrating process
