Hey guys,

My joint sponsor made enough money last year on her own, and I have W-2s to show. However, she filed her taxes M/J.

She divorced in October of last year, and her ex-husband still lives with her.

1. Do I need (or should I have) a copy of a divorce decree?

2. Does her ex-husband count as a household member, as far as she needs to make enough money to support not only my wife, but also her ex-husband?

2a. She made around $38k in 2015. She's making quite a bit more now - should I request a current pay stub to show the increase in income?

3. Do you foresee any problems with her filing MFJ even though on Dec 31st she was not married?
