Hello everyone !

My Husband is california resident. We met and married in Washington State when he was working in Seattle. I had my 2 years green card in Washington state. Then we just moved back to California, i renewed my 10 years green card in California. The , i applied for California Id few months ago but they still pending my id because they said they need to verify my background because when i applied for the id, my 10 years green cards wasn't approved yet. But now i have my 10 years greencards, they still havent updated my Id yet. So i still have my Washington state Id/ driver license, and my question is where should i apply for the U.S citizenship ? seattle or California. we're planning to move back to Seattle in the future .

If you know any information about this, please help me out. Thank you very much

You have to apply where you actually live.

You have to have lived in California for 3 months before you apply.

If you move back to Seattle, then you'll have to wait 3 months before you apply.

If you don't have a state ID at the interview, make sure you take other forms of photo ID (like your Washington ID) and also take proof that you've been living in California for 3 months before you mailed your application (rental agreements, mortgage, employment letter, etc.).

You only need to submit the documents on the document checklist (write below the N400 application link on the USCIS website) at the time of the application. That does not include a copy of your state ID.

You have to take your ID (if you have one) to the interview.

You'll also have to take any supporting evidence you may need.
