hello Forum,

My US visa is expiring on 10-Sep-2016 so I applied again on Aug 22, 2106 ( though I never travelled to US after 1st visa as I got 1st visa after 7 months AP and my training was done by that time) . After interview, Consular kept my passport and told that my application would go for security verification. He said good chances (though no guranttee) are that I would be getting the visa by 2 weeks as I have to travel during mid Sep to US.

Is anyone know how much time it takes when visa renew is applied? And have been through the same situation?

Does keeping passport is a positive sign to get the visa in 1-2 weeks ?

your views welcome please.

Regards
