Hello,
recently I received the NOA2 and am gathering the rest of the documentation for my fiance's interview. Right now I am doing the I-134. I am a full time student here in the US, so no job. But i do get a monthly amount from the GI bill and I also get a large refund from the univeristy (after they take their cut) from scholorships, together they total above the 125% poverty line but are non taxable and dont file them as income (i do, do my taxes correctly). So Obviously I filled out the I-134, but is that an acceptable source of income? Im also having a family member co-sponsor my fiance as well. The new problem is my co-sponsor (my father) has a very good job but is currently in negotiations with the IRS, long story short, he pays taxes but has no 1040 to go with his W2. Is this a unacceptable co-sponsor? He has everything else, letter from employer stating pay, full time, and hire date, he has bank statements, and w2 showing he makes an income. any incite would be much appreciated on this situation.
