Conditional PR card expiration is more than two years

My husband came into the US on his CR-1 visa on December 30, 2014. This would presumably make our expiration December 30, 2016, meaning we would be filing to remove the conditional status of his green card very soon. However, for some reason his permanent resident card has an expiration of August 2017. There was a spelling error on the first PR card sent to us and we aren't sure if that is why the expiration is different?

We don't know what date we should go by and when to file. Help!

It's a mistake. Maybe they automatically thought 2 years after the issue date of the card without realizing that it's a replacement card. He could try to get it corrected. In any case, regardless of whether he gets it corrected, he needs to file for ROC in the 90 days before December 2016.
