I am gathering the documents to apply for citizenship around end of July or early Aug. I moved here as the spouse of US citizen and will be 3 years on Oct 2016. I will apply 3 months earlier than that date.

I have these documents ready :

1 application form - dated and signed

2 check -

3 copy of green card - both sides

4 2 color pic - as per their spec

5 citizenship certificate of my husband

6 passport copy of my husband

7 copy of marriage certificate

8 copy of tax transcripts - 2013, 2014, 2015

9 copy of bank statement - July 2016

10 copy of mortgage payment - July 2016

Will these enough? Or should I put copy of car title, auto insurance, home insurance, health insurance provided by my work? Kindly suggest me on this.

Thanking you all in advance.

A couple things to make sure you are on the right track:

1. Have you been married for 3 years or been an LPR for 3 years? You can only apply based on marriage if you have been an LPR for 3 years.

2. Has your husband been a USC for 3 years?

3. 3 months is not the same as 90 days. Please make sure you use the early filing calculator so you don't get your packet sent back.

In other news,

You don't need to send both your husband's passport and his certificate. Just pick one.

Thank you for your reply.

1 I got married on Sep 2012. I will be 3 years of LPR on Oct 2016.

2 Yes, he is USC for more than 3 years.

3 In the early filing calculator, I can apply on July 24, 2016 but I will only apply on first week of Aug.

Thanks again.

Good :) Just making sure.

I checked the document checklist on the USCIS page, and it still says that you only need to send the tax transcripts OR everything else (leases, mortgages, children's certs etc.). However, it does not hurt to send the packet you've put together. Just bring copies/originals to the interview when you get to that point.

Please allow me to ask in this topic...

In form N - 400,

How many times have you been married ? Should I write "1" since I don't have any previous marriage.

For the spouse also,

How many times have your spouse been married? Should I write "1"? He also doesn't have any previous marriage.

I am filling up the form by black ink. In the employment history, I don't have enough space. Can I copy the "page 6" of the form and fill up more info? I want the info will be nice and clean as per their format only.

Thank you.
