Hi all...I have been accepted for Ph.D. Physics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a teaching assistant. My classes will be started from 25 July 2015. On 18 May 2016, I applied for F-1 VISA at US Embassy Islamabad Pakistan. Before going to interview I forgot to sign I-20 certificate below the statement that my stay in the USA will be temporary. The VO refused to give me VISA under section 214(b). She asked me some question about marriage and my age. I am single. I did not tell her that I am engaged to my cousin in Pakistan whom I will marry. She also asked me that How many Universities I applied. I told her that I applied to 4 universities and among them I was accepted in two Universities.I want to reapply for F-1 VISA. Can anyone give me useful advice how I will convince VO? I don"t have a permanent job in Pakistan but I am kind of research assistant and assisting my previous group member in research.
