Hi, This is hopefully just a quick question...

I am currently preparing my paperwork for my interview and see that the Embassy says I should bring my 'interview letter' with me. As I booked my interview online I don't have an actual letter (just some basic info when I click a button labelled 'interview instructions'... )

Has anyone been to an interview yet through the new system? Will I get an actual letter confirming my interview date / time - or do I just show up with those instructions printed off?

Any help much appreciated!

In a similar position.

From what I can tell so far, no other letter is sent.

Online confirmation, email telling you to book online, packet 3 letter initially sent.

That's all I've been sent to date from the embassy. So I'm just taking that along.

I would definitely print out a confirmation (if you get it) - either from the website, or from an email (I had my interview booked for me so I don't know whether they send you an email confirmation when you book online?) When I got to outside the Embassy and went to the desk, the lady wanted to see my interview letter and passport. Then inside, at the reception, the lady stuck my stickers with my ticket number onto the interview letter.

Hi - no need to bring a formal letter now if you book through the system...

I mailed the Embassy this question:

Hello, I am preparing my documents for my CR1 interview. Your instructions say to bring my appointment letter with me to the Embassy. However, as I have booked my interview through the new system (
) I don't have a letter.

Please can you tell me if printing the instructions from the website above are sufficient or if I should have received a confirmation letter or email?

And got this answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. We note that the appointment for your visa interview is scheduled for XXX. Please attend your interview as scheduled. You are not required to present an appointment letter as your name will be on the access list for the date in questions. However, you may wish to print the confirmation page on the appointment booking website to show security personnel if requested.
