Hi everyone!

It has been 3 years since I have posted on this site.....I moved over here to Jacksonville Florida, and was married on 18th September 04.

It has been an uphill journey, but I am still here, still married, and after 3 years still coping with the day to day stuff that replaced my life back in the UK.

It has been far from easy, I think the first 2 years have been the worst, but I think I have finally settled into my new life over here. I havent been home for a visit yet, but we have a trip planned in May of this year when the kids break up from school for the summer. I cant wait to see my home again, and I am worried how I will feel when I do get there. I still have a 24 year old son living in the UK, and my mum and my sisters and my nephew and neice. My daughter came with me to the US, she was 7 at the time, and is totally Americanised now, southern accent too!

I love my husband, and I do like my life here, but am very worried how I will feel about leaving the UK again, knowing that it will be a while again before I get back there.

I also had the added stress of inheriting 2 stepchildren, who where 10 and 12 at the time, whom my husband had custody of and who live with us, and are now entering the difficult teenage stage, especially our now 13 year old daughter, who is putting us through hell because she now wants to go live with her mom!

It has not been easy, and most people I speak to, think I am crazy giving up a career in the UK, and my nice life in England with all my family who love me around me....and the answer is...I fell in love with an American! I would not be here if it was not for him....no way!

Well I will break off here, and if there are any people out there in my area of Jacksonville, it would be great to hear from y'all!!!

Alll the best to you all...Erica.
