My fiance did his K1 visa interview on December 10th 2015. He was called on December 16th and told his visa had been approved as of December 11th, he was told he needed to bring back a copy of his daughter's birth certificate who will be traveling to the US in the summer of 2016 to join us here. He sent back the birth certificate (which we had to trace and track for the embassy to locate the DHL package) the embassy responded to my email inquiry on January 12th stating they had received the birth certificate and a follow up consular visit was scheduled for my fiance on January 26th, we are lost??? If he was approved, why do we have to wait 14 more days to go back to Kingston, 2 hours away for him to travel, for a follow up simply because he had to return his daughter's birth certificate? Is this normal? We don't know what to think. Please advise if you have experienced this and please help me understand what to expect on the 26th is this an additional interview?
