Urgent: Which yearly salary to put for my co-sponsors I-134?

My co-sponsor makes 30,000 no matter what yearly. But after commission, which he usually always gets, he makes much extra - usually around 45,000 yearly. His last tax return was listed with roughly this latter amount. So, on his I-134, should he put only his yearly base pay - or what he earned with commission, though the base is fixed and the commission is not fixed? In either case he meets the requirements for a co-sponsor. But I would like to make our case as strong as possible. Thank you so much.
