Hellooo everyone, my husband and i got married on Nov 17th and completed our AOS paperwork for me and my son just today BUT we are wondering if we can wait until the beginning of January to send it in because we want to save more money before sending that big $1,705 payment....or we should just better do it right away...? My and my son's I-94 expire on Feb 2nd 2016. So we would appreciate your advice on this so much.

On a side note i had it understood that it would be ok to do it before the 15 days of the expiration date on the I-94's, the NOA would take about 2 weeks to get to us and that would prove that i sent the AOS and it is pending so they cant remove us from the country even if our I-94's expire. But i dont know if i just have it really really wrong and the only way to go is to just really send it right away

Thanks in advance for all the replies and please be nice
