Hi to all the members..im here again seeking for some info.i hope someone can give me exact answer.

My ds 260 has been available since first week of nov.but i could'nt sign and submit it because of my passport.i still have my old passport using my maiden name and couldnt get a certificate at cfo til dec 4th.my question is can i just submit it now using my old passport number and correct it later or i just have to wait till i get my passport changed using my husbands surname.

Thank you guys in advance..i just dont want to messed up things as my husband has been working so hard to make this whole visa process right and for me waiting is not a problem as long as im doing right.god bless you all

Yes, you CAN submit it now with your old passport number. The update can be done when you have your new passport with you at the interview. Don't forget to take the old passport with you too.

From the date of submission of your DS-260 to the appointed interview date is around 1-3 months. So you still have time to get that passport renewed and issued before the interview.

BTW I don't think it is necessary for you to change your surname to your husband's when applying for a Spousal Visa.

Thank you so much for the reply..im submitting my ds 260 with my old passport number.i just want to be safe as my husband has used my married name for my i130 petition so all my documents should be matched in names as what it states before flying.i just dont want to messed up things.i do appreciate your help
