Hello, My case was approved at the NVC on March 07th 2006, and i called on that date, and was told to call back on March 22nd for my interview date. Im just wondering when aprox can i expect my interview date will be? also i have a car, that i bought and do not owe anyone for except the bank which i will continue paying from the USA. What will i need to do to get my car down there? thanks in advance for your help :)

Looks like Montreal is doing interviews approx. 2.5 months after case completion. So you can HOPEFULLY expect an interview around the end of May.

It's hard to say, but hopefully you'll have an interview in June or July, maybe? As I said, it's hard to say, but the past few months Montreal was rather slow. My case was completed November 17th, interview will be March 20th. Hopefully it's speeding up again, though. :)

I noticed two members' (posted in the Canada section) cases were completed in February and both of their interviews are in April. Not bad!

Yeah, but they were both for K-1 and K-3, not CR-1. :(

K-1 and K-3 are always faster, sadly. The only person I've heard of who got a CR-1 interview in April had her case completed in December.

Hi,

My case for Cr1 also got approved on March 7. I have yet to speak to a NVC officer and will try to talk on Monday or tuesday to find out. I wish that I get the interview for May end or early June lastest. It would be perfect for me.

Let me know if you get any news on 22 March and I will also let you know.

Hi,

My K3 took almost 4 months from reaching the embassy at Montreal to my interview date. The case was sent to Montreal on September 9 and my interview was for Jan 6. While sepaking to the montreal cousulate they said that it does not matter if you have K3 or K1 they are taking same time but just depends on the rush at that time. During the interview for K3 the consular asked about my Cr1 status and I said that we had to send the final documents which will be sent by Jan end. He said you should have your interview by May/June 2006.

Take care!!

I'm sorry. :( I know what it's like to keep calling and hoping.

Chances are your interview will be in about June, so fear not! It's not too far away! :)

They have to schedule all the CR-1s for people whose cases were completed in January and February, but they seem to be speeding up a bit, I think, so I bet you'll have a June interview.

Hi Jinxlar,

I called but they would not even talk to me properly. They just said the case was completed and the I will get a interview when I will. Atleast you got them to say that you should call back on April 15. I am going to Montreal consulate also.

I too think the interview will be in June. I just hope it is june and no later.

Take care
