I 130 Petition for Spouse of US citizen

Hi everyone,

I filed for my spouse who is in Mexico this July. On July 15th, I received Form I-797C Notice of Action, letting me know the application had been sent to the Texas Service Center with a priority date of July 10th but have not received any more updates about it. Is anyone in the same position? Can someone help mw with the estimated processing times or tell me what to do next? Thanks!

I applied in April for my wife and recieved I-797C dated April 27. I was told on September 28(5 months) that I should wait another 45 days, USCIS currently processing March 13 applications. The process is long. I'm sure that I'm not alone when saying patience cam be put to test. But remember that the good things are worth the wait.

I talk with my wife daily. Thankfully we can at least stay in constant communication.

We are not alone. There are many of us out there.

When we started the process all I kept saying is I waying do this right and legal. As I'm finding out It's extremely difficult to know what that is. There are lots of people willing to take money and steer us in the wrong direction. I hope that after this is over I could save one family the agony that we have faced with all this.

In 2015 seems this should be a much simpler process.

Be strong and remember we're not alone.
