Bank statements for I-134

Hi,

I've read that bank statements can be used for one of the two proofs of income for the I-134 in London.

I was wondering, would a copy of an online bank statement (so log into our digital banking page and print a statement for the past 12 months) be sufficient, or does it need to be printed from a branch of the bank itself?

Is any form of signature required on it too?

Thanks in advance!

Online should be fine. Why twelve? Do you not have anything better like an employer letter or a tax return or some recent pay stubs?

Perfect! And I'd read somewhere it had to be 12 months worth, that's the only reason! How many months of statement would we need? We have recent pay stubs, and are requesting an employer letter in case we need it too!

Having read hundreds of London interview experiences over seven years (we have a UK forum on here), I would say the employer letter is London's favorite and they will accept that with nothing further. I personally would skip bank statement unless you need to show assets like a huge savings account in lieu of having a job.

If you are trying to prove income, any bank deposit would be net. Your pay stubs should show your gross income before anything is taken out. That is the number you would want somebody to see. Right? So if I wanted a backup plan in my pocket, it would be about three recent pay stubs.

Why do you need your bank statements ? Sorry just want to know as I am also waiting for my interview. :)

For London you don't. But people in the K1 forum regularly report you must have....insert list of about five things...at a K1 interview. Simply not required or needed in London.
