Hi all,

In March 2006 my husband and I recieved a letter as follows:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case has been sent to another ( Texas Service Center) office for processing.

Our biometrics were done in Oct 2005. At present we have an EAD and H-1/H-4 status.

When I looked up processing times for TExas it said they were processing I-485 from August 2006.

Our case was described as still being processed.

Should we call the service center to find out why we have not received notice? or does it mean that even

though we received this letter last March, that is not the date of application? Does anybody else havea similar experience

I guess we are really dumb!!. Actually we thought it would come in the mail. OUr Eads arrived in the mail in less than a month last year

and so did the new EADs this year.

I created an account for myself only this Jan and so have been following it up only since then. We were told it might take any amount of time so we didnt worry. But when I saw these dates and started reading this forum, I did get worried. Our case was last touched in NOv 2006.

We do have a lawyer( my husband's employer's) but she doesnt seem to find anything wrong. We are in New Jersey and she is based in CA and it is really difficult to get her on the phone. But my husband's employer said that it would be better not to change lawyer's at this juncture.

The only reason I logged on this year was because I needed an AP and wanted to see how long it would take beacuse my lawyer isnt much help.

Is it worth calling the customer service number

The people on the customer service line generally see the same thing you see when you log on to the website.

Schedule an infopass appointment and talk to someone in person. http://infopass.uscis.gov/index.php

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

you will have a hard time finding employment based adjustees on this site although there may be some out there.
