Hi all,

My fiance was previously a lawful permanent resident of the USA. She is an Australian citizen, her mother married an American, and they moved to the States when she was a small child. She lived in the USA for approximately 10 years. After graduating from high school she decided to move back to Australia permanently. In 2009 she came back to visit her mother (US Citizen) and when she entered the country they had her 'relinquish her status as a lawful permanent resident' ie forfeit her green card. She was given a I-877 and I-407. Long story short...do I need to include any of these documents with the K-1/I-129F application or any sort of statement on her behalf to explain the circumstances of her abandonment of residency? Everything was done voluntarily and she was in no way attempting to thwart immigration; she was simply coming to the USA to visit her mother. She was here for a temporary visit and had no intention to stay permanently which was all documented in the I-877 and I-407. She also has a social security card and alien registration number. Do these need to be included as well?

Thanks everyone! We got engaged over the weekend and have just started our 'visa journey' and already can't to see get it over with ;)

Cheers,

Andy
