Ok, thanks alot. my girl is traveling to her birth provence in 2 weeks and is going to try and get a bc and baptismal cert. She has a voters card, will that help? My girl has a son also, I need to do both for visa's?

What are the requirements for delayed registration of birth?

For persons less than eighteen (18) years old:

1. Four (4) copies of the Certificate of Live Birth duly accomplished and signed by proper parties;

2. Affidavit for Delayed Registration (at the back of the Certificate of Live Birth) signed by the father, mother or guardian, or the child himself/herself, if he/she is of understanding capacity;

3. Any two of the following documentary evidences which may show the name of the child, date and place of birth, and the names of the parents:

· Baptismal certificate

· School records

· Income tax of parent/s

· Insurance policy

· Medical records

· And others, such as barangay captain’s certification;

4. Affidavit of two disinterested persons who might have witnessed or have known about the birth of the child; and

5. A sworn statement of the present whereabouts of the mother, if the person seeking late registration of an illegitimate child is not the mother.

For persons eighteen (18) years old or above:

1. All requirements for a child who is less than eighteen years old; and

2. Certificate of Marriage, if married.

you can find that on this site http://www.birthregistration.org.ph/faqciv...ation_of_birth_ :thumbs:

id's will help too as an additional evidence

Ok, we had passport pics done at photo place, they came out good. I am now back in the states and want to get paperwork going. Should I apply on line or call for papers to be mailed to me ?

Claudeth did passport type pics and hers worked just fine. I used the forms here on VJ and also followed the example here which worked perfectly, the petition was approved in about two weeks.

Good luck. Where does your fiancee live, my wife is from Cagayan on Mindanao.

It's called a "Late Filing" or "Late Registration" Birth Certificate through the National Statistics Office. She should have some document, usually a Baptismal Certificate. The very first thing I would request is a CENOMAR - Certificate of No (Prior) Marriage which is available at the NSO. Going to NSO HQ in Quezon City will be the very fastest way to obtain documents.

And yes, it is becoming much more difficult for Filipinos for many reasons - but not due to the Philippine government.

Ok, she has applied for her bc in manila. She has no high school records or birth cert. Her cousin thinks she will not be able to get a passport or visa. I think she is wrong. Anyone else have any advise. She also said that philippines are makeing it very hard for philippino's to leave the country.

Yes, it's never the same. As what my fiance told me, there's a dimension missing when it's you're both not together in person. I truly understand how you feel as all couples here in VJ also do. The waiting will all be worth it (L)...I'm so glad I joined this site because I know I'm not alone...It makes me feel better eventhough it's frustrating.

Hello,

Your fiance can get a certified copy of her birth certificate in the National Statistic Office. She doesn't have to go back to her province to get one. She should also get a copy of her son's birth certificate. And she can just wait for the issuance if there are no problems. Now if she doesn't have a BC, she can file for late registration.

I don't know if she has already a passport or her son. But I believe that this is the first document she would be getting for herself and her son. And the birth certificate is just one of the requirements for applying ofr a passport.

I advice you to visit the US Embassy site in Manila. It has all the requirements needed to file for a petiion for a fiance or K1 and K2. Both you and your fiance should thoroughly read and understand it.

Good luck!

My girl is going to her birth provence on monday so its not that far away. She then has to have it (NOS) certified I think. I get a little confused over that. I have done all my papers and have snailed mailed her the g325's. I told her to wait to fill out till she has her b/c in her hand so spelling is correct on all names. Once she mails back the papers I am going to mail them to vermont. I am going for a visit in may so then we are going to go get her and her sons passports at clark. Sound good so far. The waiting is the WORST part of this proccess. I want her here now. We talk 2 times a day on phone but not the same. All advise is helpfull. Thanks

That is right, Jacki. Certain dimensions "seem" gone right now, but deep down in both of our hearts, we should both know and always remember during this time of separation that we still love each other and will be together soon. We're still here, we're still each other...and we still love each other. And we've got two weeks in May together in the Phils again, so let's make the most of that time together. I enjoy being with you and am so glad you came into my life. You'll be here soon...but not soon enough :( Come on USCIS...touch us again, already!!!!
