Hello. My fiancee and I are a filing for a K1 Visa and are currently in the middle of her filling out the first packet she got from the local embassy in London, England. She's slightly confused about a few questions so we came here for help.

The first question is on form DS-156, number 32, and states:

Do you intend to work in the US? (If YES, give the name and complete address of US employer).
She DOES intend to work once she has her green card, but since she doesn't have one yet she obviously doesn't have an employer lined up. How should she answer the question?

The second is from form DS-320, question 22:

In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States?

Again, while she does intend to work, she doesn't have an exact occupation lined up. For the first year or so she'd most likely end up working a basic entry level job somewhere.

How much do these questions matter to the K1 Visa? Is there some specific way she should answer them? How likely is it to come up during her interview?

Thank you very much!

-Matt

Thank you! Though, on question 21 of that form it asks for a current occupation. While my fiancee HAS been looking for a job since she graduated last spring, she hasn't been successful in finding a job. Should she put 'none'? Will being unemployed be a problem when they look over her information?

I don't think there's anything wrong with writing Unemployed.

On that form, which diseases are considered communicable disease of public health significance? I know AIDS and TB are, any others or do you know where I can find this? Are they just ones reportable to CDC? Thanks!

I don't really know, but it sounds like it isn't a box anybody should be checking if they want to get past the interview. They're asking the applicant if they think they would be of public health concern. :help:

Guess if someone is quarantined they needn't apply until they are well enough to get out of quarantine.
