My wife finally got her temp green card a few months ago with a typo on the last name. I forgot to get a proof of delivery or anything and just sent it normal snail mail. Do they send a receipt to you when they get the application?

Thanks

Look for Steffi's I-90 gather place thread---you'll find other I-90ers who can tell you about the receipt.

I do want to clarify for you that your wife did not get a 'temporary' Green Card; you might want to call it a 2-year Green Card, but it is her Green Card. There's no 'temp' GC. :)
