Are CR-1 and L1 visa conflicting?

Hi,

We have a CR-1 visa stuck with NVC since March 2015 - due to technical difficulties with DS260 database. (All our paperwork and fees are completed, but no action made on the file yet). My husband has been offered job with is current company in the US to start in November and they would like to start processing an L1 visa sponsorship now.

We had initially thought NVC would have processed the application by now and he would have finished consular processing by August. The timing now is unclear for CR-1 and could clash directly with L1 visa processing. Is there a problem if both are being processed at the same time? Will there be conflict if he ends up getting interview for both CR-1 and L1 visa around the same time?
