Question regarding reentry permit

Hi All,

I have a specific question about re-entry permit. Let me give first my timeline since getting my green card:

Got green card on March 21st 2013.

Applied for first re-entry permit on July 2013 valid till March 21st 2015.

I traveled from USA as follows:

August 2013 to September 2014: No questions asked when came back since I had valid re-entry permit.

October 2014 to Jan 2015: Did biometrics for ROC I-751 and also no questions asked when came back since I had valid re-entry permit.

Now I am returning end of June 2015 but with expired reentry permit and within five months since I left USA.

My question: According to some US embassy abroad: "Individuals who have remained outside the United States for more than one year without a valid Reentry Permit, or beyond the validity of a Reentry Permit, may be eligible to apply for a returning visa with the Department of State."

Although my re-entry permit expired but I was not abroad for one year or longer. The above sentence is confusing. What is my situation now ?

I appreciate your tips. Please note that I have convincing documents that my trips outside usa were temporary and I had intention to come back to USA.

Thanks
